Hi, just curious when you talked about having books that are accessible in your school library, do you get braille editions of books? They aren't easily accessible in UK schools and libraries as they have to be special ordered and frequently go over multiple volumes, if they are bigger than small children's books. My son is autistic and developmentally delayed so luckily he likes young childrens stories like in the night garden, kipper and thomas, that means I can braille them for him by cutting off the binding and adding a spiral binding and adding the braille myself. X

I know this is way late but I have been catching up on videos. Leslie, you are like my twin when it comes to hobbies and interest. Watercolor, machine embroidery, crochet, knitting (obviously)…if you also are interested in violin or viola and card making that would be super crazy 😂. Love listening to you all!

I just recently started knitting, working on a sock. I think I have torn it out 12 times now, but it is a learning curve, right? Is there a way to ask people for their scrap sock yarns? I dunno if that would be rude, but I just need to practice without tearing up my new skeins. I will also be sending books, I wanted to wait until school started again and now I am late lol!

I want to say that the kayak slalom is not as new as people think it is. I can remember watching Olympic kayak slalom when I was a kid back in the 70s. I guess it’s just not as popular as the gymnastics, ice-skating, and some of the track and field events so it may have faded out of sight over the last 40 years. Maybe they’re trying to bring it back now.

I watched David the gnomb! In South Africa it was dubbed into Afrikaans and called “Dawie, die Kabouter”!

I’m knitting the Albina sweater , a pattern by Caitlin Hunter, using Berroco Remix Light and I love the fabric I’m getting. It’s so soft and light, it will be a perfect summer sweater. I agree with you Leslie, I will use this yarn again.
